Phil's Weapon of Choice

PHIL'S WEAPON OF CHOICE

Phil Mickelson is one of the world's greatest golfers thanks to his attention to detail. Take his Odyssey PM Prototype Putter - the weight, loft, lie, and head design were all meticulously crafted to fit his exacting standards. One of Phil's favorite features is the sightline that extends from face to flange.

You’d think after his magical 59 and 38 PGA Tour victories, including 2010 Masters tournament, Phil Mickelson has slain every demon there is. But, Lefty is never satisfied that the best is good enough. That’s why, every couple of weeks, he can be found in Carlsbad, at the company test center, working with Ron Hettinger in pursuit of the perfect weapon.

DID YOU KNOW

"Lefty" plays golf left-handed, but he is actually right-handed in everything else he does. Phil took to playing the game left-handed as he mirrored his father's right-handed swing during practice. In April of 2006, he won his second Masters tournament in three years; it was his second straight major after he won the PGA Championship at Baltusrol in 2005. In 2008, he won twice on the PGA TOUR and was also a member of the winning U.S. Ryder Cup team. He earned three victories in the 2009 season - the Northern Trust Open, the WGC-CA Championship at Doral and the WGC-HSBC Champions event in China - and had seven top-10 finishes overall. Early in the 2010 season, Phil earned his fourth major championship and his third Green Jacket with a thrilling victory at the Masters Tournament.
