Player Bio:

In May 2010, Alvaro Quiros became only the fourth Spaniard since 1972 to win the Open de España on the European Tour. Quiros uses an Odyssey putter and has six European Tour career wins. In February, Quiros made a final round hole-in-one during his victory at the Dubai Desert Classic and in December he won the Dubai World Championship with a RAZR Fit Driver, Callaway's first driver featuring adjustability. He also led the European Tour in driving distance for 2011.

Alvaro grew up in a small house near the gates of Valderrama Golf Club, on Spain’s Costa del Sol. His father is a gardener and his mother a housekeeper. In 2004, he turned pro after a fantastic record in the Biarritz Cup. In 2007, Alvaro won the Alfred Dunhill Championship, becoming the youngest golfer to win a European competition. He says he is addicted to football (soccer) and loves James Bond movies. Consistently the longest hitter on the European Tour, Alvaro has led the Tour in average driving distance each of the last three years. In 2009, he averaged 314 yards off the tee. On the European Tour in 2009, he won at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters.
