Player Bio:
Chip Beck built a great professional career through hot birdie runs and high finishes on the PGA Tour. Naturally, he brought that same aggressive attitude to the Champions Tour in 2006. Beck recorded four top-5 finishes in his first five starts on the senior circuit, and he’s popped up on leaderboards around the Tour ever since. Beck has finished runner-up at two events in his Champions Tour career.
Beck has been extremely successful at every competitive level. He was a three-time All-American at the University of Georgia and a four-time winner on the PGA Tour. Along with fellow Callaway Staff Pro Stuart Appleby, Chip is one of just five players to shoot a 59 at a PGA event. He carded 13 birdies in a bogey-free third round of the Las Vegas Invitational. Beck also competed on three straight US Ryder Cup teams from 1989 to 1993, finished second at two US Opens and one Masters and won the Vardon Trophy for best scoring average on Tour in 1988. Chip comes from a large family of seven sisters and two brothers and his favorite entertainer is Elton John. His favorite courses are Pebble Beach, Harbour Town and Cypress Point.
