Federico Colombo took up the game at the age of nine, when he joined his local course in Lombardy, Italy. He won the European Boys Amateur Championship in 2003 and captured the Italian Amateur Championship on three occasions. Colombo first earned his status on the European Tour in 2009 after graduating from Qualifying School. He lists fellow Callaway Staff Pro Ernie Els as his hero and his hobbies including skiing, music and cars. Federico also uses an Odyssey Putter.
