Ian grew up in the same area of Queensland, Australia, where Wayne Grady and Greg Norman grew up. His biggest victory came at the 1991 Open Championship, and he has won 16 tournaments worldwide. He served as a Presidents Cup co-captain in 1996. Since the early 1990s, Ian has owned his own golf course design company. He also does commentary on CBS Sports’ golf coverage of the PGA Tour. He recently joined forces with Gary Player Design, executing course designs worldwide. Ian enjoys traveling and his company, Baker-Finch Design, has designed courses in Australia, Dubai, Ireland, and on the island of St. Croix.
