Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medal Putter

2013 Golf Digest Hot List: Gold Medal
“The black grip-to-head finish is flat-out cool. No vibration, just pure, pure, pure.” - Golf Digest

Tour Tested. Tour Proven. All Blacked Out

The ProType line was born out of unique putters crafted for the best players in the world. The Odyssey design team has taken feedback from Tour players all over the world to create a line of forged-milled premium putters that offer a uniquely soft feel while still giving the crisp feedback of a steel putter. The new Midnight Black head finish and black powder coat shaft also offer a cool twist on an award-winning line of putters.

Softer Feel

1025 carbon steel head produces similar performance characteristics to stainless steel with a softer feel.

Reduces Glare

The Midnight Black head PVD and powder coat shaft finish help reduce glare while offering a unique, contemporary look desired by golfers at the highest levels.

Truer roll and more consistency

A deeper, sharper milling pattern on the face increases interaction between the face and the ball for better feel, truer roll and more consistency.

Optimized Control and Accuracy

Subtle tweaks to the design allow us to optimize the putter head with the shaft length using slightly heavier heads for shorter models to optimize feel, control and accuracy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Smooth This putter is sinister looking with the black shaft and head. It seems like the lie angle is flatter (had mine bent flatter), which appealed to me very much. So the putter fits my stroke (lie angle and slight arc). My usual miss is to come up short as I try to die the ball into the hole. This putter is smooth and seems to release more energy into the ball than other putters I have had, given similar strokes. That has helped me make more putts and my misses have been left closer to the hole (think having a short tap instead of a 2 foot putt. Good luck. March 30, 2013
