Odyssey Versa #1 Wide White Putter
Easy to see stroke path. Great speed control.
I like a blade putter because it enables me to "see" the stroke path of the takeaway with my peripheral vision. My new Versa #1W (WBW) makes this "view" of the stoke path so evident that my putting stats have seen an improvement of 5 fewer putts per round on average.
In addition, the contrasting WBW "stripes" make it so much easier to get a proper putter face alignment perpendicular to the line of the putt and not just parallel to it. I find the perpendicular method of alignment to be much more accurate than the on-line or parallel-to-the-line methods, however I think a combination of both would be the ultimate. I would like to see Odyssey offer the #1W with an alignment line either on the top line of the putter or on the flange like the ones on the Versa putters used by Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk. I actually don't understand why that option seems to be offered only to the pros when we amateurs need even more help than the big boys and girls!
The other wonderful aspects of this putter are the feel/sound at impact and great speed control. Great for greens of any speed. It is almost as good as my all-time fav Odyssey putter insert - the White Steel. I still have - and love - my WS Two Ball Blade putter.
Congratulations to the R&D staff and thanks for the great Versa line of putters.

ive switced putters way to often. this year alone ive had 5 different putters. i most recently had the tank 7 which i loved but my affinity for anser shaped putters led me to look for something different. my main problems with anser putter was that i couldnt keep it square throughout impact, especially with the 4-5 footers. this putter is super easy to align and stays square to the target. best putter ive ever tried.

I purchased the Versa 1 W after using a long putter for the last several years. I found that the long putter was becoming harder to control due to my advancing age. I immediately found the 1 W to be very stable throughout the putting stroke. I am getting the ball closer to the hole which guarantees a two- putt almost every time.

Tried this on course and felt that it was too soft, probably due to the soft balls I use. Hence the tendency to leave putts short. A slightly heavier weight will likely make this easier to swing. All-in-all a good quality product but some fine tunings will make it perfect.

Nice heel toe putter
Face insert provides good roll. Comfortable feel for pace.

My putting faults are that I tend to stand too far from the ball and reach for the ball; I tend to leave putts a bit short consistently and I get my hands behind the ball at address at times. This putter (BWB) solved all of those problems.
I played last Saturday and had 32 putts with a couple of 3 putts. I played with this putter twice this week and had 29 and 27 putts with no 3 putts. This putter allows me to "point and shoot". My putts are getting to the hole, with the same stroke I have been using.
I bought a 34 inch putter, my eyes are more over the ball, no reaching for the ball and my hands slightly in front. My putter has the Flat So grip and I love it as well. Overall a very consistent putter for me.

as represented, and trade in option is also a plus.

The Versa 1W is an excellent putter. The contrasting colors makes alignment easy, and the insert feels great. Excellent value.
