Two wins. Two records. All in a day's work.
It was just another day at the office for Phil Mickelson on Sunday, finishing with a 6-under 66 at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. After an early double bogey, Lefty rattled off three birdies in a four-hole stretch, turning a rocky start into a record-setting weekend.
Armed with a White Hot XG putter - winner of the 2007 Golf Digest Hot List gold medal - Mickelson tied the tournament record (20-under, 268) set by Mark O'Meara in 1997, earning both individual and team honors while matching the largest margin of victory ever. At the end of it all, he collected a $990,000 check for his 30th PGA title, making him the third person in Tour history to surpass $40 million in career earnings.
On yet another Sunday afternoon, a champion raised an Odyssey putter in victory.
